Nakiryu x 7-Eleven
Nakiryu is the second ramen restaurant in Tokyo to obtain a Michelin Star (after Tsuta in 2015) because of its famous spicy, rich Dan Dan noodles. Waiting times for this ramen shop can now reach up to two hours! But you don't have to wait that long to have a taste because Nakiryu collaborated with Nissin and 7-Eleven to replicate their signature dish in an instant ramen form.
The Nakiryu Dan Dan Instant Ramen has the same perfectly firm noodles with rich, tangy broth, topped with veggies, and minced pork. It is not overly spicy like most tantanmen bowls, but it has a kick to it that will keep you satisfied. A massive bowl of 440 ml, it's big enough for lunch or dinner!
It's a little intimidating to prepare initially, but we've created a short video for you to watch and follow. You can also keep on scrolling to see detailed step by step instructions!
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
Peel off the lid halfway. You will find three small packets. The brown package contains the soup stock powder with dehydrated veggies and minced meat, the green one has the liquid stock, and the red one contains the sesame oil.
Empty the contents of the brown packet into the bowl. Fill it with boiling water up to the line indicated and cover. Do not empty the other packages at this time; otherwise, the noodles will clump up!
Place the two remaining packets (green and red) on top of the lid to heat them, allowing the oils to melt.
After 3 minutes, uncover the bowl and stir the noodles until it has separated. Add the green packet first, and stir. Lastly, add the red package, and mix lightly.
